Captain Sweet
Captain Sweet () is a Hong Kong-based racehorse. He won five races in the 2010–2011 season. He was one of the nominees for 2010–2011 Hong Kong Horse of the Year. Captain Sweet was owned by Wong Chin Leung during his racing career, but has now been returned to Australia for his retirement. Sharing a paddock with two retired Melbourne Cup runners he is now enjoying a slower pace of life. Background Captain Sweet is a bay gelding, bred in Australia by J. M. Cappellin. Fastnet Rock (horse)
Fastnet Rock is an Australian Thoroughbred racehorse stallion. Sired by Danehill to dam Piccadilly Circus, he started his racing career in 2004. Though he did not win any races as a two-year-old, he ran third in the Group One AJC Sires Produce Stakes. He found great success after turning three years old. After being unplaced in the Caulfield Guineas, he proved himself as one of the top Australian sprinters by winning the Group 1 Lightning Stakes and Oakleigh Plate in February 2005. Trainer Paul Perry wished Fastnet Rock to repeat the successful English campaign by Choisir, who is trained by Perry, in 2003. After he ran second in the T J Smith Stakes in March 2005, Fastnet Rock was sent to the United Kingdom to prepare for the Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes and July Cup. The William Reid Stakes is a horse race of Moonee Valley Racing Club Group 1 thoroughbred racing at Weight for Age, for three year olds and older, run over a distance of 1200 metres at Moonee Valley Racecourse, Melbourne, Australia in the autumn. The Hong Kong Jockey Club
The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) is one of the oldest institutions in Hong Kong, having been founded in 1884. In 1959, it was granted a Royal Charter and renamed The Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club (). The institution reverted to its original name in 1996 due to the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong in 1997. Membership of the club is by nomination and election. Sha Tin Racecourse
Sha Tin Racecourse is one of the two racecourses for horse racing in Hong Kong. It is located in Sha Tin District, Sha Tin in the New Territories. It is managed by Hong Kong Jockey Club. Penfold Park is encircled by the track, and the Hong Kong Sports Institute is located immediately south of the property. The Thousand Guineas is a Melbourne Racing Club Group 1 Thoroughbred horse race for three year old fillies at set weights run over a distance of 1600 metres at Caulfield Racecourse, Melbourne, Australia in early October. Atlantic Jewel
Atlantic Jewel (26 September 2008 – 20 August 2020) was an Australian Thoroughbred racehorse. Sired by champion sire Fastnet Rock, and raced by Coolmore, Atlantic Jewel was trained by Melbourne's Mark Kavanagh. She won 10 of her 11 starts, including four Group One races. Her eighth start was the Memsie Stakes at Caulfield Racecourse, where she defeated eight rivals after a long injury break, and it confirmed her as Australia's best racehorse. She also won the 1000 Guineas at Caulfield Racecourse by three lengths, defeating four-time Group One winner Mosheen. Atlantic Jewel has foaled two winning racehorses, Pacific Ocean and Russian Emperor. The later most recently came a close second in the Hong Kong Derby.
