The subfamily Caprinae, also sometimes referred to as the tribe Caprini, is part of the ruminant family Bovidae, and consists of mostly medium-sized bovids. A member of this subfamily is called a caprine. Prominent members include sheep and goats, with some other members referred to as goat antelopes. Aoudad Skeleton
The Barbary sheep (''Ammotragus lervia''), also known as aoudad (pronounced �ɑʊdæd, is a species of caprine native to rocky mountains in North Africa and parts of West Africa. While this is the only species in genus ''Ammotragus'', six subspecies have been described. Although it is rare in its native North Africa, it has been introduced to North America, southern Europe, and elsewhere. It is also known in the Berber language as ''waddan'' or ''arwi'', and in former French territories as the mouflon. Mountain Goat

Nemorhaedus
The gorals are four species in the genus ''Naemorhedus''. They are small ungulates with a goat-like or antelope-like appearance. Until recently, this genus also contained the serow species (now in genus '' Capricornis''). Etymology The original name is based on Latin ''nemor-haedus'', from ''nemus, nemoris'' 'grove' and ''haedus'' 'little goat', but it was misspelt ''Naemorhedus'' by Hamilton Smith (1827). The name ''goral'' comes from an eastern Indian word for the Himalayan goral. Extant species Habitat Gorals are often found on rocky hillsides at high elevations. Muskox
The muskox (''Ovibos moschatus'') is a hoofed mammal of the family Bovidae. Native to the Arctic, it is noted for its thick coat and for the strong odor emitted by males during the seasonal rut, from which its name derives. Armenian Mouflon
The Armenian mouflon (''Ovis orientalis gmelini'') is an endangered subspecies of mouflon endemic to Iran, Armenia, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iraq.
