Capital District Health Authority
The Capital District Health Authority (shortened to Capital Health or the Capital Health District) was the largest of the nine health authorities in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. In 2015 it was merged into the new, province-wide Nova Scotia Health Authority. Service Capital Health was responsible for delivering core health services in the Halifax Regional Municipality and in the Municipality of the District of West Hants, an area consisting of over 400,000 residents, or 40% of the provincial population. It also delivered tertiary and quaternary acute care services to residents throughout Atlantic Canada as a result of being the location of the region's largest teaching hospitals that make the city a major referral option for the provinces of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital (ESMH) is a hospital in Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia. It is operated by Nova Scotia Health Authority. Fall River, Nova Scotia
Fall River is a suburban community located in Nova Scotia, Canada within the Halifax Regional Municipality. It is located north-northeast of the Bedford Basin, northeast of Bedford and Lower Sackville and north of Waverley. Fall River's name is derived from a stream running between Miller Lake and Lake Thomas which had a waterfall. These falls supplied water power for several mills during the 19th century as well as a local electrical utility during the early 20th century. The waterfall was demolished in the late 1950s as a result of the construction of the Bicentennial Highway leading to Halifax; the waterfall was located where the 4-lane expressway currently runs up the hill from the crossing of Lake Thomas to the interchange with Highway 118 at Miller Lake. Middle Musquodoboit is a rural community in the Musquodoboit Valley region of Nova Scotia, Canada within the Halifax Regional Municipality, along the Musquodoboit River at the junction of Route 357 with Route 224, from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Windsor is a community located in Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is a service centre for the western part of the county and is situated on Highway 101.
