Cape Town Open
The Cape Town Open is a golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour in Cape Town, South Africa. From 2012 to 2016, it was played annually in November at Royal Cape Golf Club. In 2018, it moved to February at the King David Mowbray Golf Club. Rhys Enoch won by one stroke from Peter Karmis. In 2019, the event moved to the Royal Cape Golf Club and was won by Benjamin Follett-Smith. The 2020 edition was co-sanctioned with the Challenge Tour and had increased prize money of US$250,000 (R3,500,000). Because of the large field, two courses were used for the first two rounds; Royal Cape Golf Club and King David Mowbray Golf Club. 2021 Challenge Tour
The 2021 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Similarly to 2020, the season was to begin in February with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, but in mid-January the South African swing was postponed to April–May over COVID-19 pandemic concerns. The official schedule announcement was made on 27 January 2021. In April two back-to-back events in Sweden in May were added. In August, it was announced that the Hainan Open and the Foshan Open; both played in China, were cancelled. Ockert Strydom (born 8 January 1985) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. Brandon Stone (born 20 April 1993) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. He represented South Africa at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Amateur career Stone won several amateur tournaments in South Africa and played on the 2012 South Africa Eisenhower Trophy team. Justin Harding
Justin Adam Harding (born 9 February 1986) is a South African professional golfer. Amateur career Harding attended Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and played college golf at Lamar University in Texas and represented his country as an amateur golfer. Professional career Having graduated, he earned a place on the Sunshine Tour at the first attempt, finishing third at the 2009 qualifying school while still an amateur. He won a tournament in each of his first three seasons on the tour, 2010, 2011 and 2012. He won again in 2015 and 2016 and then twice in two weeks in 2018. Jacques Kruyswijk (born 16 October 1992) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. He won the 2016 Cape Town Open. Amateur career Kruyswijk enjoyed a stellar career as an amateur and won the Royal Silver Vase in 2011. He represented Limpopo Province between 2005 and 2012. Zander Lombard (born 18 January 1995) is a South African professional golfer. Amateur career As an amateur, Lombard won several events in Africa and represented South Africa in the Eisenhower Trophy in 2012 and 2014.
