Cape Farvel
Cape Farewell ( kl, Nunap Isua; da, Kap Farvel) is a headland on the southern shore of Egger Island, Nunap Isua Archipelago, Greenland. As the southernmost point of the country, it is one of the important landmarks of Greenland. Pikiulleq
Pikiulleq is a bay in eastern Greenland. It is part of the Sermersooq municipality. Geography Pikiulleq Bay is located at the northern end of King Frederick VI Coast, north of the Fridtjof Nansen Peninsula and to the north of the Søren Norby Islands. Past the northeastern end of the bay, at the southern limit of King Christian IX Land, the coast of eastern Greenland bends in a northeastward direction that stays quite regular until Cape Brewster. In the inner part of the bay there are small fjords, the Havhesten Bay in the south, the Køge Bay (Ikeq) in the west, and the Uvkusigssaqarfik fjord in the north, past the Pamialluk headland. King Frederick VI Coast
King Frederick VI Coast ( da, Kong Frederik VI Kyst) is a major geographic division of Greenland. It comprises the coastal area of Southeastern Greenland in Sermersooq and Kujalleq municipalities fronting the Irminger Sea of the North Atlantic Ocean. It is bordered by King Christian IX Land on the north and the Greenland Ice Sheet to the west. Named after King Frederick VI of Denmark-Norway, the coast stretches for about south of the Arctic Circle. It is characterized by a succession of short fjords, steep mountains and small coastal islands. Cape Farewell Archipelago (also Nunap Isua Archipelago) is an island group located at the southern end of Greenland in Kujalleq municipality. The archipelago takes its name from Cape Farewell, a headland of Egger Island (also known as Itilleq). Geography The Cape Farewell Archipelago is separated from the mainland's south coast by Prince Christian Sound in the north and by the Torsukattak Fjord in the west. The main islands of the group are characterized as large and mountainous, surrounded by fjord-like passages. There are also several islets and rocks.
