The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Sallanches
Sallanches (; frp, Salenches) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department of France. Located close to the Mont Blanc massif, many visitors pass through the town en route to well-known alpine resorts such as Chamonix, Megève and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. Sallanches is also one of the towns in the Arve Valley, made popular by the presence of many high-tech industries. Over 300 retail stores are located in Sallanches, making the town a commercial hub. In 2018, the commune had a population of 16,508, and its urban area had 46,128 inhabitants. Arâches-la-Frasse
Arâches-la-Frasse () is commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Situated in the northern French Alps, the commune sits on a large sunny plateau overlooking the Arve Valley southeast of the town of Cluses. It is part of the canton of Sallanches. The main villages in the commune are Arâches, Les Carroz, and La Frasse. Les Carroz Until the 1930s the village of Les Carroz was a simple farming hamlet with only a few houses. It is now developing into the nearest large ski resort to Geneva. By 1981 Les Carroz had been linked to the nearby ski villages of Samoëns, Morillon and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, and the resort of Flaine, developed in the 1960s. The Grand-Massif ski area had been born. Combloux
Combloux () is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France, with a population of over 2,000 residents. A mountain village in the French Alps, it is also popular as a ski resort. Combloux is located from Megève and from Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. History Before Combloux became a skiing resort, it was a traditional mountainous village with the main economy being made from farming which still exists today. It has stone and wooden chalets for accommodation and besides the residents, chalets are also an option for tourists.
