Cannock Hockey Club
Cannock Hockey Club are an English professional field hockey team. They were established in 1905, and are based in the village of Hatherton, near Cannock, Staffordshire. Both the men's and women's first teams play in the England Hockey League Premier Division, the top division of hockey in England. History Founded in 1905, the men's first team was the most successful team in the country having won seven Men's England Hockey League titles from 1995 to 2006. Additionally they have won four National cup competitions and three Super Cup's. They have also provided several international players to England and other national teams. Their home ground, Chase Park (formerly The Morris Ground), has hosted various national and international tournaments, including the EuroHockey Club Champions Cup in 2000 and 2006. Hatherton, Staffordshire
Hatherton is a settlement and civil parish located south-east of Penkridge, and on the western edge of modern-day Cannock, Staffordshire, England, and lying adjacent to and north of Watling Street, now the A5. The civil parish include the village of Calf Heath.South Staffordhire council
Hatherton was given to Wolverhampton monastery by in 994. Its name, ''Hagerthorndun'' in the , means "the hill where Hawthorns grow".

1998–99 England Hockey League Season
The 1998–99 English Hockey League season took place from October 1998 until May 1999. The men's National League was won by Cannock with the women's National League going to Slough. The top four clubs entered the newly introduced Premiership play off tournament which culminated with men's & women's finals on 3 May. Cannock won the men's Premiership tournament and Slough claimed the women's Premiership tournament. The Men's Hockey Association Cup was won by Reading and the Women's Cup ( AEWHA Cup) was won by Slough. Georgina Sophie Twigg (born 21 November 1990) is an English international field hockey player and an Olympic gold medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Hockey career She plays club hockey in the Women's England Hockey League Premier Division for Surbiton. Twigg played as a midfielder for England and Great Britain from 2010 to 2016. Barry Middleton
Barry John Middleton (born 12 January 1984) is regarded as one of the greatest British field hockey players in history. He played as a midfielder and forward for England and Great Britain and is the most capped British hockey player in history and captained his country for many years. Middleton was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to hockey. Club career Middleton plays club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division for Holcombe. James "Jimi" Lewis (born 5 July 1974 in Lydney, Gloucestershire) is an English field hockey goalkeeper, who was a member of the Great Britain squad that finished ninth at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. James Fair (field Hockey)
James John W. Fair (born 8 January 1981, in Chester) is an English former field hockey player who played as a goalkeeper. He made his international debut in 2005, and has competed for England and Great Britain at numerous tournaments. He was selected to represent Great Britain in the 2008 Summer Olympics, although he did not play any matches. However, at the 2012 Summer Olympics he was Great Britain's first choice goalkeeper and started every match. Following Great Britain's defeat 3–1 defeat to Australia in the bronze playoff game, Fair was not one of the five Olympians selected for the England squad chosen to go to the 2012 Champions Trophy. Nicholas Kimon "Nick" Bandurak (born 14 December 1992) is an English field hockey player who plays as a forward for Holcombe and the England and Great Britain national teams. 2005–06 England Hockey League Season
The 2005–06 English Hockey League season took place from September 2005 until June 2006. The men's title was won by Cannock for the fourth consecutive year with the women's title going to Leicester. There were no playoffs to determine champions after the regular season but there was a competition for the top four clubs called the Super Cup which was held at Cannock Hockey Club from June 16–18. The Men's Cup was won by Reading and the Women's Cup was won by Bowdon Hightown.
