Cang Xin
Cang Xin (born 1967) is an artist based in Beijing working in performance art and photography. Biography Cang Xin was born in Heilongjiang Province, China. Style Cang Xin approaches his work as a means to promote harmonious communication with nature. His works have included bathing with lizards, adorning the clothing of strangers, and prostrating himself on icy glaciers: each act represents a ritual of becoming the other. Cang Xin combines art and music. He gained an interest in art during his training in music school but never got any formal training in art. Most of his works are performance art. He was made famous by ''Communication'', a performance series where he licked various objects to become closer to them. These objects varied from bugs to posters to buildings and roads to the Great Wall of China. In another series he would swap clothes with strangers. Heilongjiang Province
Heilongjiang () formerly romanized as Heilungkiang, is a province in northeast China. The standard one-character abbreviation for the province is (). It was formerly romanized as "Heilungkiang". It is the northernmost and easternmost province of the country and contains China's northernmost point (in Mohe City along the Amur) and easternmost point (at the junction of the Amur and Ussuri rivers). The province is bordered by Jilin to the south and Inner Mongolia to the west. The Guangdong Museum () is a general museum of Cantonese art, nature, culture and history in Guangzhou. History Old building The Guangdong Provincial Museum was located on 215 Wenming Rd. (), in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, on which was the original site of Sun Yat-sen University. It was a provincial general museum, founded in 1959 and with a land area of 43,000 square meters. It comprised three major parts: the museum, the relic of the of the Kuomintang and Lu Xun Memorial House. The Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei (MoCA Taipei; ) is a museum of contemporary art, located in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The museum building was built during the Japanese rule in 1921 for what later became Jiànchéng Elementary School, which now occupies a new structure on the back of the historical building. After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China, it hosted the Taipei City Government and became an important landmark, thanks to its highly recognizable symmetrical building and belltower in historic style.
