Can Bonomo
Can Bonomo (Hebrew: ג'אן בונומו, born 16 May 1987) is a Turkish-Jewish singer who represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Early life Bonomo was born in İzmir, Turkey to a Sephardic Jewish family. At the age of 17, he began his official career as a vocal productionist in Istanbul. At the same time, Bonomo went on with studying TV and cinema at the Istanbul Bilgi University with his programmes being aired on popular radio channels such as Number 1 FM, Radio101 and Radio Class. Then his radio programmes were followed by programmes in international TV channels such as MTV and Number One TV. Also, he composed the songs for other singers. After his musical career, he began to write poetry and publish poetry books. His first poetry book was named ''Delirmek Belirmektir'' (2014) and it was published by Küçük İskender. Turkey In The Eurovision Song Contest
Turkey has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 34 times since its debut in 1975. Since the introduction of the semi-finals in , Turkey has only failed to qualify for the final once, in . Turkey won the contest once in , and hosted the contest in Istanbul. Turkey finished last on its debut at the contest in 1975, and went on to finish last with ''nul points'' in and . They reached the top ten for the first time in 1986. Şebnem Paker achieved the country's first top five result in , finishing third with the song "Dinle". Live It Up (Yüksek Sadakat Song)
Turkey participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Live It Up" written by Kutlu Özmakinacı and Ergün Arsal. The song was performed by Yüksek Sadakat. The entry was selected through an internal selection organised by Turkish broadcaster Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu (TRT). Yüksek Sadakat
Yüksek Sadakat is a Turkish rock band that was formed in 1997 by Kutlu Özmakinacı, but became popular in early 2006 with their first album with the same name. The founder and bass player Kutlu Özmakinacı, used to be the editor of a music magazine called '' Blue Jean''. Their music is a mix of pop rock with powerful beats utilizing Turkish instruments, keyboard and guitar solos. The name of the band is a literal translation of the term "High Fidelity" (Hi-Fi) into Turkish. Firstly established by the name ''"Filinta"'' the band change its name to "Yüksek Sadakat" in 2004. Founder and the songwriter of the band is the bassist ''Kutlu Özmakinacı.'' ''Yalan Dünya'' ''(Fake World)'' is a Turkish TV series produced by Gülse Birsel and directed by Jale Atabey in 2012. Plot ''Yalan Dünya'' is about the lives of actors and actresses in Cihangir, Istanbul, an up-and-coming neighbourhood with a lot of bohemians and nouveau riche families.
