Campos Basin
The Campos Basin is one of 12 coastal sedimentary basins of Brazil. It spans both onshore and offshore parts of the South Atlantic with the onshore part located near Rio de Janeiro. The basin originated in Neocomian stage of the Cretaceous period 145–130 million years ago during the breakup of Gondwana. It has a total area of about , with the onshore portion small at only . Etymology The basin is named after the Campos dos Goytacazes city. Campos do Jordão () is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in southeastern Brazil. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of Vale do Paraíba e Litoral Norte. The population is 52,405 (2020 est.) in an area of . The city is situated above sea level and is the highest city in Brazil. There are numerous outdoor activities for tourists and winter residents. Campos dos Goytacazes () is a municipality located in the northern region of Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, with a population of 471,737 inhabitants. Campos Gerais is a municipality in the south of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The population was 28,842 in 2020 in a total area of 769 km². The elevation is 1,026 m. It became a municipality in 1901. Campos Gerais is located in the IBGE statistical microregion of Varginha. Surrounding municipalities are Alfenas, Três Pontas, Boa Esperança, Paraguaçu, Campo do Meio, Santana da Vargem and Fama. It is 295 km from Belo Horizonte and 34 km from the important coffee center of Alfenas. The Furnas Reservoir lies to the south. The main economic activity is coffee growing. Campos is an Italian electronic-folk rock band from Pisa, formed in 2011. History The band was founded in Pisa in 2011 by Simone Bettin, former guitarist of Motta's Criminal Jokers, and music producer Davide Barbafiera. Later that year, Bettin moved to Berlin, where he met Australian bassist Dhari Vij, who joined the band in 2014. The trio started to perform their first songs in the clubs of Berlin and recorded their debut English-language studio album, ''Viva'', in 2015. The album was mastered by disc jockey Jan Driver, and released on 3 March 2017 by label Aloch Dischi. Later in 2017, Dhari Vij was replaced by Tommaso Tanzini and the band signed with Woodworm. Campo's Deli, also known as Campo's Philly Cheesesteaks, is a deli that was founded in 1947 on Market St in Old City, Philadelphia. The restaurant has been highly ranked for its cheesesteaks and other deli sandwiches. History Ambrose and Rose Campo opened Campo's in 1947. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. In 1998 the team began by competing in the new Open Fortuna by Nissan, with Marc Gené and Antonio García as drivers. Gené won the championship and García finished fifth, with Campos taking the teams title. Gené stepped up to Formula One in , and his place in the team was taken by karting driver Fernando Alonso. Alonso went on to win the Euro Open Movistar by Nissan as it was renamed, with García finishing fifth again and Campos retaining the teams title.
