Beaver River is a tributary of the Ohio River in Western Pennsylvania. It has a length of approximately 21 mi (34 km) and flows through a historically important coal-producing region north of Pittsburgh. Beaver River is formed in Lawrence County by the confluence of the Mahoning and Shenango rivers in the Mahoningtown neighborhood of New Castle. Connoquenessing Creek is a tributary of the Beaver River, approximately 50 mi (80 km) long, in Western Pennsylvania in the United States. Portersville is a borough in Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 235 at the 2010 census. Geography Portersville is located near the western border of Butler County at (40.925285, -80.144229).
