Camino Royale
''Camino Royale'' is a 2023 comic novel by Irish playwright and author Paul Howard and is the twenty-third novel in the Ross O'Carroll-Kelly series. The title refers to the film '' Casino Royale'' and to the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. Release The novel was released on 17 August 2023. Three audio excerpts were released on '' The Irish Times'' website to mark the publication. Howard spoke with Ciara Kelly on RTÉ Radio 1 on 21 August about the book. Author Paul Howard hosted "An evening of reading, story-telling and laughter" at the Whale Theatre, Greystones on 3 November 2023 to promote ''Camino Royale''. Paul Howard (journalist)
Paul Howard (born 6 January 1971) is an Irish journalist, author and comedy writer. He is best known as the creator of the cult character Ross O'Carroll-Kelly, a fictional Dublin 4 "rugby jock". Life Howard was born 6 January 1971 in London. He worked for sixteen years as a journalist, mostly for ''The Sunday Tribune'', first in news and later as one of Ireland's most respected sportswriters. He was chief sportswriter of ''The Sunday Tribune'' and one of the first to question the achievements of Michelle Smith de Bruin. He covered two Olympics, a World Cup and numerous major sporting events. He was named Sports Journalist of the Year in the 1998 Irish Media Awards for an investigation into eating disorders among Irish athletes and an interview with the disgraced former sprinter, Ben Johnson. Ciara Kelly
Ciara Kelly is an Irish radio presenter, columnist and former GP. She presents the morning show on Newstalk. She also has a weekly column with the '' Sunday Independent''. Career Kelly qualified from University College Dublin as a medical doctor in 1997, having previously completed a Bachelor of Commerce. She went into practice and also did media work, including breakfast television on TV3 and presenting ''Doctors on Call'' on RTÉ. She was the medical expert on '' Operation Transformation'', a television series on RTÉ, which won an IFTA in 2014, and also on George Hook's lunchtime radio show on Newstalk. Penguins ( order Sphenisciformes , family Spheniscidae ) are a group of aquatic flightless birds. They live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere: only one species, the Galápagos penguin, is found north of the Equator.
