Cameron Shahbazi
Cameron Shahbazi ( fa, کامران شهبازی; born 1992) is a Persian-Canadian operatic countertenor who has performed leading roles at opera houses and festivals in Europe, performing both Baroque and contemporary opera. He has sung the title role of Handel's ''Tolomeo'' at the Karlsruhe Handel Festival, Oberon in Britten's ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' at the Oper Frankfurt, two roles in George Benjamin's ''Written on Skin'', premiered in 2012, at the Cologne Opera, and in the world premiere of ' by Willem Jeths at the Dutch National Opera in 2020. In 2023, he was awarded the prestigious Opus Klassik Award in the ‘Innovative Concert of the Year’ category for his brainchild entitled “Woman.Life.Freedom.”, a benefit concert at Oper Frankfurt produced in support of human rights in Iran. Hamilton is a port city in the Canadian province of Ontario. Kateryna Kasper (born 1986) is a Ukrainian operatic soprano. A member of the Oper Frankfurt, she has appeared in major international opera houses. She has performed in recitals and recordings. Her broad repertory includes works from Cavalieri's '' Spiel von Seele und Körper'' to the premiere of ''Der goldene Drache'' by Péter Eötvös. Career Kasper studied voice at the Prokofiev State Music Academy in Donetsk. After her bachelor exam, she continued her studies on a scholarship by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg with Edith Wiens. Brigitte Fassbaender (; born 3 July 1939), is a German mezzo-soprano opera singer and a stage director. From 1999 to 2012 she was intendant (managing director) of the Tyrolean State Theatre in Innsbruck, Austria. She holds the title Kammersängerin from the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Vienna Staatsoper. Career Fassbaender was born in Berlin, the daughter of screen actress Sabine Peters and baritone Willi Domgraf-Fassbaender. The family settled in Nuremberg after World War II.
