Cam Jurgens
Cameron Jurgens (born August 21, 1999) is an American football center for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Early years Jurgens grew up in Pickrell, Nebraska and attended Beatrice High School. He played tight end, fullback, linebacker, and punter on the football team and also played basketball and threw discus and shot put on the track team. College career Jurgens began his freshman season at tight end and appeared in one game before suffering a foot injury and redshirting the rest of the season. After recovering from his injury, he began to practice at the interior offensive line. Jurgens ultimately moved to the center position and was named the Cornhuskers starter going into his redshirt freshman season. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost Lineman (American football), lineman of the offensive line on a football team's Offense (sports), offense. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The 2022 NFL Draft was the 87th edition of the National Football League's annual draft and was held from April 28–30, 2022, at the Caesars Forum on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The first round was held on Thursday, April 28, and was followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 29. The draft concluded with rounds 4–7 on Saturday, April 30.
