Cam Bedrosian
Cameron Rock Bedrosian (born October 2, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels, Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics, and Philadelphia Phillies. The Angels selected Bedrosian in the first round of the 2010 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2014. He is the son of MLB Cy Young Award winning pitcher Steve Bedrosian. Early life Bedrosian was born on October 2, 1991, the youngest of four sons born to Steve and Tammy Bedrosian. He grew up on a horse and wheat farm in Senoia, Georgia, operated by his father, a former professional baseball pitcher who spent 14 years in Major League Baseball (MLB) and won the Cy Young Award in 1987. 2017 Los Angeles Angels Season
The 2017 Los Angeles Angels season was the 57th season of the Angels franchise and the 52nd in Anaheim (all of them at Angel Stadium). The Angels began the season on April 3 against the Oakland Athletics and finished the season on October 1 against the Seattle Mariners. They improved upon their record from last season, but still failed to make the playoffs for the third consecutive season, finishing 5 games behind the Minnesota Twins for the second wild card spot. The Arizona Complex League Angels are a professional baseball team competing as a Rookie-level affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels in the Arizona Complex League of Minor League Baseball. The team plays its home games at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. College Baseball
College baseball is baseball that is played on the intercollegiate level at institutions of higher education. In comparison to football and basketball, college competition in the United States plays a smaller role in developing professional players, as baseball's professional minor leagues are more extensive, with a greater history of supplying players to MLB. Moving directly from high school to the professional level is more common in baseball than in football or basketball. However, if players do opt to enroll at a four-year college to play baseball, they must complete three years to regain professional eligibility, unless they reach age 21 before starting their third year of college. Players who enroll at junior colleges (i.e., two-year institutions) regain eligibility after one year at that level. A signing bonus or sign-on bonus is a sum of money paid to a new employee (including a professional sports person) by a company as an incentive to join that company. They are often given as a way of making a compensation package more attractive to the employee (e.g., if the annual salary is lower than they desire).
