Callum Reid (rugby Union, Born 1999)
Callum Reid (born 16 January 1999) is an Irish rugby union player who plays loosehead prop for United Rugby Championship side Ulster. He was part of the Ireland under-20 team that won the Grand Slam in the 2019 Six Nations Under 20s Championship. He played for Banbridge RFC for a season while in the Ulster sub-academy, and joined the academy ahead of the 2019–20 season. He made his Ulster debut in Round 10 of the 2020–21 Pro14 against , making five appearances from the bench during the 2020–21 season, and spent six weeks on loan with Munster. He signed a development contract ahead of the 2021–22 season season, and made another five appearances from the bench, including against the Stormers in Cape Town, when he scored a controversially disallowed try. The 2020–21 PRO14 (also known as the ''Guinness PRO14'' for sponsorship reasons) was the twentieth season of the professional rugby union competition originally known as the Celtic League. It was the fourth season to be referred to as the ''PRO14'' (the competition was named the ''Pro12'' immediately prior to the addition of two South African teams). Toyota Challenge
The Toyota Challenge is a rugby union competition hosted in South Africa by the Cheetahs, a team sponsored by Toyota SA. The first tournament took place at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein between 13 November and 26 November 2021. In 2021, four teams played against the Cheetahs across four matches, with a 250,000 rand prize money for each match. In addition, players were rewarded for "positive play actions" during the games, while fans were rewarded for supporting their favourite teams in the stadium and online on various social media platforms. The Cheetahs are currently without a permanent tournament, whilst the Stormers and Sharks compete in the United Rugby Championship. The Stormers (known for sponsorship reasons as the DHL Stormers) is a South African professional rugby union team based in Cape Town in the Western Cape that competes in the United Rugby Championship, a trans-hemispheric competition that also involves sides from Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. They competed in the Super Rugby competition until 2020. They are centred on the Western Province Currie Cup side, but also draw players from the Boland Cavaliers (covering the Cape Winelands and West Coast districts, with home matches in Wellington). The 2021–22 season is Ulster Rugby's 28th season since the advent of professionalism in rugby union. They are competing in the inaugural United Rugby Championship (successor competition to the Pro14) and the European Rugby Champions Cup. It is Dan McFarland's fourth season as head coach.
