Calle Luna, Calle Sol
''Calle luna, Calle sol'' (English title: ''World's Apart'') is a Venezuelan telenovela developed by José Vicente Quintana and produced by RCTV in 2009 as a free adaptation of the telenovela ''Marielena'' that was produced by the same channel in 1979. Monica Spear and Manuel Sosa star as the main protagonists with Amanda Gutiérrez and Nacho Huett as antagonists, accompanied by the stellar performances of Chantal Baudaux, Daniel Alvarado and Nacarid Escalona. RCTV began transmitting ''Calle Luna, Calle Sol'' from March 18, 2009 at 9 pm replacing ''Nadie me dirá como quererte''. The last episode was broadcast on September 14, 2009. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. ''Libres como el viento'' (English title: ''Free as the wind'') is a Venezuelan telenovela developed by Pilar Romero and produced by Radio Caracas Television in 2009. The series was inspired by the novel ''Una Brizna de paja en el viento'' written by Rómulo Gallegos in 1952. The story was based on the context of student protests that took place in the country during that year. Laura Chimaras and Jonathan Montenegro starred as the protagonists with Guillermo Pérez, Juliet Lima and Damián Genovese as the antagonists. RCTV Telenovelas
Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was a Venezuelan free-to-air television network headquartered in the Caracas neighborhood of Quinta Crespo. It was sometimes referred to as the Canal de Bárcenas. Owned by Empresas 1BC, Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was inaugurated on 15 November 1953 by William H. Phelps Jr., William H. Phelps, Jr. Its Radio broadcasting, radio counterpart was Radio Caracas Radio.
