Caldas Das Taipas
Caldelas (also known as Caldas das Taipas and, in the past, S. Tomé de Caldelas) is a Portuguese civil parish in the municipality of Guimarães. With an area of 2.69 km² and 6304 inhabitants (2021 census). Its population density is 2 343.5 hab./km². History The village seat of the parish was raised to the category of town by decree no. 30 518 of June 19, 1940, under the name of Caldas das Taipas. The seat of the parish of Caldelas is known as Caldas das Taipas, due to the hot springs recognized since the Roman presence in the Iberian Peninsula. It is located on the road that connects the cities of Guimarães and Braga (EN 101). It is about 7 km from the first and 14 km from the second. Clube Caçadores das Taipas is a Portuguese sports club from Caldas das Taipas. The men's football team plays in the Braga Football Association Serie 2. They played for many years in the old Terceira Divisão, but had stints on the third tier, the Segunda Divisão B, from 1998 to 2000 and 2001 to 2004. SIPA
Sipa (literally, "kick") is the Philippines' traditional native sport which predates the Spanish rule. The game is related to Sepak Takraw. Similar games include Footbag net, Footvolley, Bossaball and Jianzi. The game is both played by two teams, indoors or outdoors, on a court that is about the size of a tennis court. The teams consist of one, two or four players in each side. The aim of the game is to kick a soft ball made out of rattan fragments, back and forth over a net in the middle of the court. The sport requires speed, agility and ball control. A point is awarded every time a player kicks the ball, the more the player kicks the ball, the more the points accumulate. The Comunidade Intermunicipal do Ave () is an administrative division in Portugal. It was created in 2009. It takes its name from the Ave River. The seat of the intermunicipal community is Guimarães. Ave comprises parts of the former districts of Braga and Vila Real. The population in 2011 was 425,411, in an area of 1,451.31 km². Ave is also a NUTS3 subregion of Norte Region.
