Calan Williams
Calan Williams (born 30 June 2000) is an Australian racing driver who is competing in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with BMW M Team WRT. He previously competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Trident, having previously raced for Jenzer Motorsport in the FIA Formula 3 Championship during 2020 and 2021. He is the champion of the 2017 Australian Formula 3 Premier Series. Early career Karting Williams was a member of the Wanneroo-based Tiger Kart Club, and competed in Kart Racing, karting championships across Western Australia, and in several race meetings around the country. 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship
The 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship is a motor racing championship for Formula 2 cars that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship is the fifty-sixth season of Formula 2 racing and the sixth season run under the FIA Formula 2 Championship moniker. It is an open-wheel racing category that serves as the second tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. Wanneroo Raceway, currently known as CARCO.com.au Raceway for naming rights reasons, is a motorsport circuit located in Neerabup, approximately north of Perth in Western Australia. It was built by the WA Sporting Car Club. The circuit was originally known as Wanneroo Park and the first race meet took place in March 1969. Initially the major race per year was a 6-hour Le Mans style race for sedans and sports cars known as the Six Hour Le Mans. However, as interest dulled in that event, production car racing took over as the major race type. In 1979, the Australian Grand Prix was held for the first and so far only time at Wanneroo Raceway which coincided with the opening of the new pits and paddock area to the west of the circuit.
