Cajetan Fernandes
Cajetan Fernandes (born 28 February 1989) is an Indian footballer who plays for Sporting Clube de Goa as a midfielder in I-League. Career Early career Fernandes first hit the headlines when he scored India’s solitary goal in a 1–6 loss to Portugal at the 2009 Lusophony Games. Fernandes attended Mãe de Pobres High School in Nuvem and started his youth career with Fransa Pax before moving onto Salgaocar at the age of 17. Salgaocar Cajetan won the I-league title with Salgaocar in 2010-11 and was instrumental in Karim Bencherifa's young Indian midfield. His most memorable moment came after scoring & winning the Man of the Match award as Salgaocar came from 2 goals down to beat East Bengal on their way to winning the I-league title. Cajetan also scored an 88th-minute goal for Salgaocar in Delhi as they beat Indian Arrows 3-1 away from home. 2013–14 I-League
The 2013–14 I-League (known as the ''Airtel I-League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the seventh season of the I-League, the top-tier Indian professional league for football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 21 September 2013, and ended on 28 April 2014. Churchill Brothers were the defending champions, having won their second I-League title in the previous season. On 21 April 2014, Bengaluru FC were crowned champions with one game remaining, winning their first ever I-League title by defeating Dempo 2–4 at Fatorda Stadium. Bengaluru FC also created history by becoming the first team ever to win the I-League title in its debut season. I-League Players
The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. It is currently contested by 12 clubs across the country with the winners getting promotion to play in the premier division, the Indian Super League. The competition was founded in 2007 as the successor to the National Football League, with the first season starting in November 2007. The league was launched as India's first ever top-tier professional football league with the aim to increase the player pool for the India national team. 2013–14 Indian Federation Cup
The 2013–14 Indian Federation Cup was the 35th edition of the Federation Cup, the main domestic cup competition in Indian football. A total of 16 teams played in this edition of the tournament in which they all entered in the group stage consisting of four groups of four teams each. The defending champions were East Bengal, who beat Dempo 3–2 in the 2012 final. The final was played on 25 January 2014 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Kerala between Churchill Brothers and Sporting Goa, with Churchill Brothers winning 3–1. The Federation Cup (also known as Hero Federation Cup for sponsorship reasons) was an annual knockout football competition in Indian football which started in 1977. From its inception, until I-League was started in 1997 (then called NFL), it was the most prestigious national level club football tournament in India. Until 2017, it was the most important club tournament after the I-League, to which it became a ''de facto'' League Cup. Winner of the Federation Cup was given direct entry in the AFC Cup. The holders of the 2017 Federation Cup were Bengaluru who beat Mohun Bagan 2–0 in the 2017 final held in Cuttack, Odisha.
