Cafú (footballer, Born 1993)
Carlos Miguel Ribeiro Dias (born 26 February 1993), known as Cafú, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for EFL Championship club Rotherham United. He played in Portugal, France, Poland, Greece and England, winning two Ekstraklasa and Super League Greece titles with Legia Warsaw and Olympiacos respectively, as well as a double with both of those teams. Cafú represented Portugal at youth level. Club career Benfica Born in Guimarães of Bissau-Guinean descent, Cafú joined local Vitória SC's youth system at the age of 11, signing with S.L. Benfica four years later and going on to complete his development there. He started playing as a striker, but later shifted to a defensive midfielder role. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. 2013–14 Campeonato Nacional De Seniores
The 2013–14 Campeonato Nacional de Seniores was the first season of the newly created third-tier football league in Portugal after the merging of the Segunda Divisão and Terceira Divisão. It began on 25 August 2013 and finished on 10 June 2014. This first edition consisted of 19 clubs from the District Championships, 39 from the Segunda Divisão, 19 from the Terceira Divisão and the three teams relegated from the Segunda Liga during the 2012–13 season, making 80 clubs. 2012–13 Segunda Liga
The 2012–13 Segunda Liga was the 23rd season of the second-tier of football in Portugal. This season marked a series of changes in the league overall. The league's name was changed back to Segunda Liga from the previous Liga de Honra. A total of 22 teams contested the league, up from 16 in the previous season; 14 of which contested the 2011–12 season, two of which were promoted from the Portuguese Second Division (including a reserve team), one of which was relegated from the 2011–12 Primeira Liga, and five of which were new reserve teams of Primeira Liga clubs. The reserve teams were not eligible for promotion to the Primeira Liga. ''Record'' is a Portuguese sports newspaper, founded by Manuel Dias, published in Lisbon. Although it covers most sports, football is the focal point of it, and almost always is the only sport referred to on the cover. History and profile ''Record'' was founded by Manuel Dias. Cláudio César Correa Cañiza (born 3 May 1993) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker for Rubio Ñu. Club career Born in Asunción, Correa is a youth prospect of Sportivo Luqueño, where he stayed for just one year, before he moved to Club Rubio Ñu. On 11 July 2012, the 19-year-old moved to Benfica from Club Rubio Ñu on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
