Cacerense Esporte Clube, usually known simply as Cacerense is a Brazilian football club from Cáceres, Mato Grosso state. History On 10 June 1996, Cacerense Esporte Clube was founded. In 2006, the club won its first title, which was the Governor of Mato Grosso Cup, beating Vila Aurora in the final, and thus being allowed to compete in the following year's Brazilian Championship Third Level. In 2007, Cacerense won its second title, the Mato Grosso State Championship finishing ahead of Jaciara In the same year, the club competed in the Brazilian Championship Third Level. Geraldão
Geraldão is a character created by Brazilian cartoonist Glauco Villas Boas and is the main character of a series of eponymous newspaper comic strip published since 1981. The character is an unmarried and unemployed middle-aged man who still lives in his mother's house. He is an alcoholic, smoker, sometimes walks naked and fights with his overbearing mother. The humor style of his strips is usually black comedy, and sometimes nonsensical. Being one of the few intended for mature audiences at the time, his comics have become classics. The character has been published in comic books by various publishers with their characters. In the 90s the character also received a children's version and without the obscenity, but still nonsensical titled ''Geraldinho''. This spin-off was adapted by Tectoy for a game in 1995 for the Master System, being an adaptation of the Japanese game Teddy Boy Blues. The comics were discontinued in 2010 after Glauco's death. Cáceres, Mato Grosso
Cáceres is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. It covers an area of 24,000km2 and as of 2020 had an estimated population of 94,861. The town is sited on the Paraguay River, and hosts a popular fishing festival each September. The municipality contains part of the Serra das Araras Ecological Station. It also contains part of the Taiamã Ecological Station. The municipality contains the Guirá State Park, created in 2002. Cáceres was the starting point of the Roosevelt–Rondon Scientific Expedition. Sociedade Esportiva Vila Aurora, commonly known as Vila Aurora, is a Brazilian football club based in Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso state. They competed three times in the Série D, and competed in the Copa do Brasil once. History The club was founded on May 5, 1964. Vila Aurora won the Campeonato Mato-Grossense Second Level in 1989, the Campeonato Mato-Grossense in 2005, and the Copa Governador do Mato Grosso in 2009. Vila Aurora competed in the Copa do Brasil in 2006, when they were eliminated in the First Round by Santa Cruz. Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state.
