The Cabinet of the Maldives is the most senior level of the executive branch of the Government of the Maldives. It is made up of the President, the Vice President, Attorney General and the Ministers. Executive Branch
The Executive, also referred as the Executive branch or Executive power, is the term commonly used to describe that part of government which enforces the law, and has overall responsibility for the governance of a State (polity), state. In political systems based on the separation of powers, such as the United States of America, USA, government authority is distributed between several branches in order to prevent power being concentrated in the hands of a single person or group. To achieve this, each branch is subject to checks by the other two; in general, the role of the Legislature is to pass laws, which are then enforced by the Executive, and interpreted by the Judiciary. Ali Waheed (also known as Balak) (Dhivehi ޢަލީ ވަޙީދު) was the Tourism Minister of Maldives, a Maldivian politician, former MP (Peoples' Majlis) and the Chairperson of Jumhoory Party. Mohamed Asim
Mohamed Asim (born 1960) is a Maldivian civil servant and diplomat who has been Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives 2016 to 2018. He graduated from the American University of Beirut with a B.A. in Public Administration in 1983, and holds an M.A. from California State University, Sacramento and a PhD in political science and international relations from the Australian National University. Minister Asim began his career in the Maldives civil service in 1983 at the President's Office. His first diplomatic appointment came in 2004, as the Maldives High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, with non-resident accreditation to Pakistan and Bangladesh. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed ( dv, މުޙައްމަދު ޖަމީލް އަޙުމަދު; born 13 October 1969) is a Maldivian lawyer and politician who was Vice President of the Maldives from 2013 to 2015. He previously served as Minister of Justice from July 2005 to August 2007, as Minister of Civil Aviation and Communication from November 2008 to May 2009 and as Minister of Home Affairs from February 2012 to May 2013. Shauna Aminath (born 31 January 1985) is a Maldivian politician and former current Minister of the Environment, Climate Change, and Technology of the Maldives. Early life Shauna Aminath is a native of the Maldives. Aminath began activism in the ninth grade, where she spoke out against government policies in a school debate. She attended Pearson College UWC in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, for two years and earned her bachelor's degree from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri in 2008.
