CPN Radio
CPN Radio ( es, Cadena Peruana de Noticias) was a Peruvian radio broadcaster with national coverage in Peru. It was founded in 1996. Early in the decade of 2000 was the main competitor of RPP (Radio Programas del Perú), but declined at the end of the decade. Finally, because of economic problems radio ownership changed, but failed to get solvent. Following those circumstances was forced to stop broadcasting in 2011 and was replaced by a romantic music station. Radio Programas del Perú (RPP) is a radio and television broadcasting company in Peru within the Grupo RPP formed in Lima in 1963 by Manuel Delgado Parker and Emilio Checa. RPP has the largest radio coverage in Peru, covering 97 percent of the country. History Originally an entertainment station focusing on radio dramas, it switched to news radio format in 1978. In 1997, the network changed its identification symbol to RPP, the initials of its name.
