CJRU, branded as ''CJRU.ca'' and originally branded as ''The Scope at Ryerson'', is a low-powered AM campus and community radio station, owned and operated by Radio Ryerson Incorporated at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), which was granted a broadcast license by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission on December 11, 2014. The station broadcasts on 1280 kHz with a signal strength of 99 watts as well as online. The station officially launched on the AM band on March 31, 2016, after several weeks of test transmissions. CKLN-FM
CKLN-FM was a community radio station based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. From 1983 to 2011, CKLN Radio Inc. was licensed by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission as a campus-community FM radio station affiliated with Ryerson University, and broadcast at 88.1 MHz on the FM dial with the call sign CKLN-FM. It ceased FM broadcasting on April 15, 2011, after its licence was revoked on January 28, 2011 and continued as an internet radio outlet until it ceased operations on December 26, 2011. In its final months, most of the internet broadcaster's programs were produced in the Regent Park neighbourhood of Toronto. CFBN was a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 1280 kHz in Mississauga, Ontario. The station, owned by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, aired a business news format branded as ''Canada's Business Network'', as well as some travel and weather information reports for Toronto Pearson International Airport. The station commenced operation in 1985, originally on AM 530 before switching to 1280 when Fort Erie's CJFT was assigned 530. Previously operating under the call sign CFYZ, the automated station originally broadcast flight arrival and departure schedules, traffic directions, parking information, and weather reports to those in the immediate vicinity of Toronto Pearson International Airport. Cherry Street (Toronto)
Cherry Street is a north-south arterial roadway in the eastern downtown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is situated in a former industrial area, that is now the site of redevelopment. It connects Eastern Avenue south to Lake Shore Boulevard, then to the Toronto Port Lands district, and terminates at Lake Ontario at Cherry Beach. The Port Lands (also known as Portlands) of Toronto, Ontario, Canada are an industrial and recreational neighbourhood located about 5 kilometres south-east of downtown, located on the former Don River delta and most of Ashbridge's Bay. The Toronto Metropolitan Students' Union (TMSU) formerly known as the Ryerson Students' Union (RSU) is the current students' union that represents full-time undergraduate students at Toronto Metropolitan University, (known until 2022 as Ryerson University).
