CJPT-FM is a radio station broadcasting at 103.7 FM in Brockville, Ontario, Canada. The station, owned by Bell Media, airs an adult hits format branded as ''Bounce 103.7''. History The station was originally licensed by the CRTC in 1987 to Eastern Broadcasting, the owner of CFJR. Eastern sold both stations to St. Lawrence Broadcasting before the FM station was launched. St. Lawrence launched the FM station in mid-1988 as classic rock CHXL. The former CHXL brandings were ''XL-103'' and ''The River''. In 1996, both Brockville stations, as well as sister stations CKLC and CFLY in Kingston, were sold to CHUM Limited. On January 1, 2001, CHUM changed CHXL's call sign and format, adopted the current CJPT calls and began airing a hot adult contemporary format as ''103.7 The Point''. Brockville, formerly Elizabethtown, is a city in Eastern Ontario, Canada, in the Thousand Islands region. History The station was launched in 1926 as CFLC at 1010 kHz in Prescott. The station was operated by The Radio Association of Prescott (W.H. Plumb, A.G. Halliday, A.C. Casselman, P.J. Bob FM
BOB FM is the on-air brand of a number of FM radio stations in the United States and formerly in Canada. The BOB FM format mostly concentrates on album rock, alternative rock and pop hits from the 1980s and 90s, especially those popular during the early days of MTV when music videos made up most of MTV's schedule. But BOB FM also features a smattering of oldies from the 1970s or earlier and classic hits from the 1990s or later. CHUM Limited was a Canadian media company based in Toronto, Ontario in operation from 1945 to 2007. The company was founded in 1945 as York Broadcasters Limited when it launched CHUM-AM 1050 but was acquired by salesman Allan Waters in 1954. Kingston is a city in Ontario, Canada.
