CHEX-DT (channel 12) is a television station in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, part of the Global Television Network. CHEX-DT-2 (channel 22) is a television station licensed to Oshawa, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, serving the Regional Municipality of Durham as part of the Global Television Network. It is Owned-and-operated station, owned and operated by network parent Corus Entertainment, and maintains studios on Simcoe Street (just north of King Street) in Downtown Oshawa and a transmitter on Enfield Road in Clarington. CHEX-TV-2 was originally a CBC Television affiliate until August 31, 2015, when it became an affiliate of CTV Television Network, CTV. ''The Morning Show'' is a Canadian breakfast television show airing on Global. The program was first shown only on Global Toronto as a three-hour local morning show, but now serves exclusively as a national entertainment and lifestyle program. The program is hosted by Jeff McArthur and Carolyn Mackenzie. It debuted on October 11, 2011, from a ground level storefront studio at the Corus Entertainment Building (formerly Shaw Media Building) on 121 Bloor Street East in Downtown Toronto. On September 16, 2016, the show moved out of their Bloor Street Studio to the ET Canada studios. This was a temporary studio while a new one was being constructed at Corus Quay. CKWS-DT (channel 11) is a television station in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, part of the Global Television Network. Owned and operated by network parent Corus Entertainment, the station maintains studios on Queen Street in downtown Kingston, and its transmitter is located near Highway 95 on Wolfe Island, south of the city. Bancroft, Ontario
Bancroft () is a town located on the York River in Hastings County in the Canadian province of Ontario. It was first settled in the 1850s by United Empire Loyalists and Irish immigrants. From the mid-1950s to about 1982, mining was the primary industry. A village until 1999, Bancroft then merged with Dungannon Township to form the Town of Bancroft. The population at the time of the 2016 Census was 3,881; the regional population is 40,000. There are 150,000 visitors to Bancroft, annually. History By 1823, the government had purchased nearly two million acres of land from the Chippewa and Mississaga First Nations including a tract on the York River in Hastings County which had been established in 1792. CKWF-FM is a radio station in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, broadcasting at 101.5 FM, with an active rock format branded as "The Wolf 101.5". The station is owned by Corus Entertainment. History The station began broadcasting in 1947 as CHEX-FM. In 1976, the call letters were changed to CFMP-FM ("FMP" stands for FM Peterborough). Over the years since CHEX-FM went on the air in the 1940s, the station went through a number of ownerships, technical and format changes. On February 14, 1992, the station became ''The Wolf'', adopting a rock format and changed its call letters to CKWF-FM. CIII-DT (channel 41) is a television station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, serving as the flagship station of the Global Television Network.
