CB Benicarló
Club Baloncesto Benicarló, is a professional basketball team based in Benicarló, Valencian Community, that currently plays in LEB Plata. History 1969 is considered the year of foundation of the club as it was the year when Club Baloncesto OJE, the first team in the city, was registered. After playing since its foundation in the third division, the club promotes for the first time ever in 1987. In 2018 the club is selected to cover a vacant place in Liga EBA. Benicarló () is a city and municipality in the north of the province of Castelló, part of the Valencian Community, in the Mediterranean Coast between the cities of Vinaròs and Peníscola, not too far south from the Ebre River. Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado (EBA), commonly known as Liga EBA, is a Spanish basketball championship that is the fourth tier level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the Liga ACB, LEB Oro, and LEB Plata. It is administered by the FEB. It was previously the Spanish second tier level competition from 1994 to 1996, the third tier level from 1996 to 2000, and the fifth tier level, from 2007 to 2009. The 2018–19 Liga EBA season is the 25th season of the Spanish basketball fourth league. The season started on 22 September 2018 and will end on 19 May 2019 with the promotion playoffs to LEB Plata. 2019–20 LEB Plata Season
The 2019–20 LEB Plata season was the 20th season of the Spanish basketball third league. It started on 21 September 2019 with the first round of the regular season and was curtailed on 25 May 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Format changes On 8 June 2019, the General Assembly of the Spanish Basketball Federation agreed to expand the promotion playoffs to eight teams, being these from the second to the ninth qualified of the Group A1 of the second stage and the winner of the Group A2.
