C.L.G. Ghaoth Dobhair
CLG Ghaoth Dobhair is a GAA club based in the parish of Gaoth Dobhair (anglicize to Gweedore) in northwest County Donegal, Republic of Ireland. They are one of the strongholds of Gaelic football in County Donegal. Their home ground is at Machaire Gathlán, and they are the most successful club in both the Donegal Senior Football Championship and Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta. History Early records of Gaelic football played in Gaoth Dobhair date back as far as 1918. The sport of association football was a dominant rival in these years, with locals who worked in Scotland being influenced by the emergence of Celtic Football Club in Glasgow in the late 1880s. Cian Mulligan ( , ; born 4 March 1996) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Gaoth Dobhair and the Donegal county team. He scored two goals in the 2018 Ulster Senior Football Championship, a competition which his county team won. He also scored a goal in the 2018 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship, a competition which his club won. Odhrán Mac Niallais
Odhrán Mac Niallais (born 17 August 1992) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Gaoth Dobhair and the Donegal county team. With two Ulster Senior Football Championships to his name, Mac Niallais was a prominent feature of the Donegal midfield between 2014 and 2018. He is regarded nationally as "one of the most naturally gifted footballers in Ireland". He won an Ulster Senior Club Football Championship with Gaoth Dobhair in 2018. Daire Ó Baoill
Daire Ó Baoill (born 1996/7) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and former association footballer who plays for Gaoth Dobhair and the Donegal county team. Ó Baoill previously played association football with the under-19 team of League of Ireland side Finn Harps. He works in Teach Mhicí, a pub owned by the family of Gaoth Dobhair teammate Kevin Cassidy. He is a cousin of Naoise Ó Baoill. Playing career Ó Baoill played for the Finn Harps under-19 team for three years and captained the Republic of Ireland under-18 national football team. Neil McGee
Neil McGee (born 13 November 1985) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Gaoth Dobhair and, formerly, both the Donegal county team and the Ireland international rules football team. From Gweedore in County Donegal, he won three All Stars, one All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, five Ulster Senior Football Championships and one National Football League with his county, an Ulster Senior Club Football Championship with his club and two International Rules Series with his country. The 2014 All-Ireland Football Final, the culmination of the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, was played at Croke Park in Dublin on 21 September 2014. The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) ( ga, Craobh Shinsir Peile na hÉireann) is the premier competition in Gaelic football. An annual tournament organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is contested by the county teams in All-Ireland. The first tournament was held in 1887; it has been held every year since 1889. The Ulster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition played between the top clubs in Ulster GAA. The trophy awarded to the winners is the Seamus McFerran Cup ( ga, Corn Shéamuis Mhic Fearáin). The winners and the Connacht, Leinster, Munster and London champions compete in the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.
