Andrew Elias Pratt (born August 27, 1979) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs. Pratt was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 9th round of the 1998 Major League Baseball Draft and had a career ERA of 15.00 in 5 career appearances with the Braves and Cubs. He also played in the Texas Rangers organization from – and Milwaukee Brewers organization from –. Andy Pratt (born January 25, 1947) is an American rock singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In the 1970s, he made a number of experimental records, of which "Avenging Annie" was a commercial hit. Career Pratt's demo recording of ''Avenging Annie'' was given to the Brown University radio station WBRU in 1972. In early 1973, Pratt signed to Columbia Records by Clive Davis. He went into Aengus Studios, of Fayville, Massachusetts and released '' Andy Pratt'' in 1973, which had modest commercial success. The single, ''Avenging Annie'', peaked at number 78 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, spending ten weeks on the chart. The song was re-recorded by The Who singer Roger Daltrey for his album ''One of the Boys'' in 1977. Pratt's original version of the single became the B side of Bruce Springsteen's "Blinded by the Light" on a CBS promotional disc, and was used on the soundtrack to the film ''Velvet Goldmine'' in 1998. ''Andy Pratt'' is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Andy Pratt, released in 1973 by Columbia Records. It was Pratt's first album of entirely new music since his debut ''Records Are Like Life'' in 1969. On release, Pratt received a positive critical reception, but had only modest commercial success. The only single issued from ''Andy Pratt'': "Avenging Annie" was also a moderate success, peaking at number 78 in the US. Critical reception In 1973, the album was ranked No. 3 on Dutch Muziekkrant OOR's list of best albums of 1973. And Al Kooper listed the album at No. 58 on his list of ''100 Greatest Recordings of All Time''. The album has consistently been praised by critics. Andrew Pratt (born 4 March 1975) is a former English cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper for his team Durham for the seven years in which he played for them at first-class level. Pratt ventured briefly into Twenty20 cricket in 2004, participating in the 2004 Twenty20 cup for Durham. He played in the Second XI championship in 2005 for Durham's second string side, thus going full-circle with his career, having originally played with Marylebone's Second XI along with his elder brother Neil.
