Andy Pratt (singer-songwriter)
Andy Pratt (born January 25, 1947) is an American rock singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In the 1970s, he made a number of experimental records, of which "Avenging Annie" was a commercial hit. Career Pratt's demo recording of ''Avenging Annie'' was given to the Brown University radio station WBRU in 1972. In early 1973, Pratt signed to Columbia Records by Clive Davis. He went into Aengus Studios, of Fayville, Massachusetts and released '' Andy Pratt'' in 1973, which had modest commercial success. The single, ''Avenging Annie'', peaked at number 78 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, spending ten weeks on the chart. The song was re-recorded by The Who singer Roger Daltrey for his album ''One of the Boys'' in 1977. Pratt's original version of the single became the B side of Bruce Springsteen's "Blinded by the Light" on a CBS promotional disc, and was used on the soundtrack to the film ''Velvet Goldmine'' in 1998. Greenbelt Festival
Greenbelt Festival is a festival of arts, faith and justice held annually in England since 1974. Greenbelt has grown out of an evangelical Christian music festival with an audience of 1,500 young people into its current form, a more inclusive festival attended at its peak around 2010 by around 20,000, including Christians and those from other faiths. The festival regularly attracts the biggest names of Christian music and many mainstream musicians. ''Andy Pratt'' is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Andy Pratt, released in 1973 by Columbia Records. It was Pratt's first album of entirely new music since his debut ''Records Are Like Life'' in 1969. On release, Pratt received a positive critical reception, but had only modest commercial success. The only single issued from ''Andy Pratt'': "Avenging Annie" was also a moderate success, peaking at number 78 in the US. Fernando Jose Perdomo (born August 17, 1980) is an American musician best known for his work as a producer and session bassist and guitarist. Career Fernando started his career as a session guitar player after playing in Miami Bands, Avenging Lawnmowers of Justice, Sixo, and Trophy Wife. In 1999, his guitar playing was featured in a nationwide ad campaign for Pier One Imports. In 2002, at the age of 22 he recorded most of the guitars for Cristian Castro's ''Amar Es''. He toured with Castro throughout Latin America. Perdomo played lead guitar and piano for Soraya on her final tour. It was during this time that Perdomo joined Ed Hale and Transcendence, finally adding a permanent guitarist to the band's often-changing lineup. ''One of the Boys'' is the third studio solo album by the Who's lead vocalist, Roger Daltrey. It was released in 1977, on Polydor in the UK, and MCA in the US. The sessions were recorded at the Who's Ramport Studios during the winter of 1976 (vocals were recorded at Pathe Marconi Studios in Paris, due to tax complications), and Daltrey allowed students from the local Battersea technical school to film them as an educational project.
