Albania In The Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Albania debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in . (RTSH), a member organisation of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), has been responsible for the selection process of their participants since their debut. The nation's first representative was Igzidora Gjeta in 2012 with the song "" in, which achieved a score of thirty-five points, finishing in twelfth place out of twelve participating entries. The country was subsequently absent in and . Albania returned to the contest in , when Mishela Rapo represented them with the song "", achieving ninety-three points and finishing in fifth place out of seventeen participating countries; this remains the country's best score to date. Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (; en, "Albanian Radio and Television"; mostly called RTSH ) is an Albanian public broadcasting radio and television company. Founded in 1938, it operates several radio and television channels, over a domestic transmitter network as well as satellite. The international television service via satellite RTSH Sat (former ''TVSH Sat'') was launched in 1993 and is aimed at Albanian-speaking communities in Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and northern Greece, plus the Albanian diaspora in the rest of Europe. Georgia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 which took place on 3 December 2011, in Yerevan, Armenia. Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Teen-pop group Candy was externally selected to represent Georgia with the song "Candy Music". Andri Xhahu (born 30 April 1987 in Tirana, Albania) is an Albanian television and radio presenter, host and editor, who works for RTSH. Since 2012, he has served as the Albanian commentator and spokesperson for the Eurovision Song Contest. Career Xhahu began his career in 2003 hosting "Koha tendencë" on Radio Koha. Soon afterwards, he moved to Radio Tirana. Having become popular through the radio evening shows, he went on to host various radio shows: "Nata nuk do t'ja dijë", "Bisedë me zë të ulët", "Deri në pikë të fundit", "Hapur". Since 2008, Xhahu has hosted the radio broadcast " Gjithçka Shqip". The show airs everyday from 16.00-17.00pm and combines a mixture of the latest Albanian music, chat and celebrity guests. Ivan Ivanov (Bulgarian: Иван Иванов; born 7 April 2000) is a Bulgarian singer and songwriter.
