Professional Darts Corporation
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). Sports promoter Eddie Hearn is the PDC chairman. The PDC developed and holds several competitions, including the annual PDC World Darts Championship, the World Matchplay (darts), World Matchplay, World Grand Prix (darts), World Grand Prix, UK Open, Premier League Darts, Premier League, and Grand Slam of Darts, Grand Slam. 2024 US Darts Masters
The 2024 bet365 US Darts Masters was a professional darts tournament that was held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, United States from 31 May–1 June 2024. It was the sixth staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation and the third event in the 2024 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players (eight PDC players and eight North American representatives). Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion after defeating Jeff Smith 8–0 in the 2023 final. However, he was beaten by Rob Cross 6–4 in the quarter-finals. Rob Cross won his first US Darts Masters and his fourth World Series title in all, beating Gerwyn Price 8–7 in the final. The 2024 TOTO Dutch Darts Masters was a professional darts tournament that was held at the Maaspoort Den Bosch in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands from 26–27 January 2024. It was the second staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation after the inaugural 2022 event, returning after a one-year absence. The 2024 Players Championship Finals (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2024 Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals) was the sixteenth staging of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) darts tournament, which saw the top 64 players from the 2024 PDC Players Championship series taking part. The tournament took place from 22 to 24 November 2024 at the Butlin's Resort, Minehead. The 2024 Grand Slam of Darts (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2024 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts) was a professional darts tournament that was held at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton, England from 9–17 November 2024. It was the eighteenth staging of the Grand Slam of Darts organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. Luke Humphries was the defending champion, having defeated Rob Cross 16–8 in the 2023 final. He was eliminated in the group stage, after losing his first two matches. Ritchie Edhouse
Ritchie Edhouse (born 19 April 1983) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number twenty-seven. He won his first major title at the 2024 European Championship, defeating Jermaine Wattimena 11–3 in the final. He has also made the semi-finals in five ranking events on the PDC Pro Tour, being a one-time semi-finalist on the PDC European Tour, at the 2018 Dutch Darts Championship, and a four-time semi-finalist in Players Championship events.
