2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
The 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was the 24th season of the third highest stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in North America. Christopher Bell entered as the defending champion, but he did not defend his championship, leaving his No. 4 Kyle Busch Motorsports entry to a number of drivers throughout the season, with Todd Gilliland covering the majority of the schedule in the truck. Title sponsor Camping World Holdings rebranded the series with their Gander Outdoors brand they acquired in 2017 for the 2019 season, replacing the Camping World brand. This was the third year that the Truck Series (and the Xfinity Series) had a playoff system. List Of NASCAR Truck Series Champions
The NASCAR Truck Series Drivers' Championship is awarded by the chairman of NASCAR to the most successful NASCAR Camping World Truck Series racing car driver over a season, as determined by a points system based on race results. The Drivers' Championship was first awarded in 1995 to Mike Skinner. The first driver to win multiple Championships was Ron Hornaday Jr., in 1996 and 1998. The most recent Drivers' Champion is Zane Smith who won his first championship in 2022. Overall, Nineteen different drivers have won the Championship, with Ron Hornaday Jr. holding the record for most titles at four. UNOH 200
The UNOH 200 is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race that takes place in August at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. It was usually held on the Wednesday night prior to the NASCAR Cup Series Saturday night race, the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race; though in 2018, the race took place on Thursday night and was broadcast in primetime on Fox. Tyler W. Dippel (born April 5, 2000) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed full-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2019, driving the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado for Young's Motorsports. Racing career Early years In his childhood, Dippel started his racing career in go-karts at Oakland Valley Speedway. Timothy J. Peters (born August 29, 1980) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 25 Chevrolet Silverado for Rackley WAR. Daniel Dalton Sargeant (born March 25, 1998) is an American professional stock car racing driver. Justin C. Haley (born April 28, 1999) is an American professional stock car racing driver and businessman. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Kaulig Racing. He previously went by his nickname J. J. Sheldon M. Creed (born September 30, 1997) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Childress Racing. Spencer Gallagher (born November 20, 1989) is an American professional stock car racing driver. Cody Coughlin (born December 11, 1995) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 72 Ford Fusion, and part-time in the ARCA/CRA Super Series and CARS Pro Late Model Tour, driving the No. 1 Toyota/Chevrolet, both for his family team, Coughlin Brothers Racing.
