2017–18 Euro Hockey Tour
The 2017–18 Euro Hockey Tour was the 22nd season of Euro Hockey Tour. It started in November 2017 and lasted until April 2018. It consisted of Karjala Tournament, Channel One Cup, Carlson Hockey Games and Sweden Hockey Games. Final standings Karjala Tournament The Karjala Cup was played between 8–12 November 2017. Most of the matches were played in Helsinki, Finland, two matches were held in Switzerland and Sweden. The tournament was won by Finland. Channel One Cup The 2017 Channel One Cup was played between 13 and 17 December 2017. The Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and Russia with the new teams of Canada and South Korea were involved in the tournament. Eight matches were played in Moscow, Russia, one match was held in Prague, Czech Republic. The tournament was won by Russia. Nikita Gusev
Nikita Andreyevich Gusev (russian: Никита Андреевич Гусев; born 8 July 1992), nicknamed "Goose", is a Russian professional ice hockey forward currently playing under contract for SKA Saint Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He won the KHL's Gagarin Cup Championship in 2017 with SKA Saint Petersburg. Gusev was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round, 202nd overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. after not being signed by Tampa Gusev became known as one of the best players in the KHL - winning the KHL's Golden Stick (MVP) award in 2017-18, earning the most assists in a KHL season twice, and finished the 2018-19 season with 81 points (17 goals / 65 assists) which is the 2nd best season by a player in the history of the KHL behind Sergei Mozyakin record of 85 points. The Czech Republic men's national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team of the Czech Republic. It is one of the most successful national ice hockey teams in the world and a member of the so-called " Big Six", the unofficial group of the six strongest men's ice hockey nations, along with Canada, Finland, Russia, Sweden and the United States. The South Korean national ice hockey team ( ko, 대한민국 아이스하키 국가대표팀) is the national men's ice hockey team of the Republic of Korea (South Korea).
