Television In Spain
Television in Spain was introduced in 1956, when the national state-owned public service television broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) started regular analog free-to-air terrestrial black and white broadcasts. Colour transmissions started in 1972 after two years of test transmissions, with all programming transmitted in color in 1977, and colour commercials starting in 1978. TVE held a monopoly on television broadcasting until regional public channels were launched during the 1980s and commercial television started nationwide in 1990. Digital terrestrial television was launched on 30 November 2005 with analog service discontinued on 3 April 2010. Currently, television is one of the leading mass media of the country, and by 2008 was in 99.7% of households in Spain according to INE statistics. Europa Press
The Europa Press was a publishing house founded and run by the Irish surrealist poet George Reavey. The press was based in Paris from its inception in 1932 until 1935, when Reavey moved to London. It ceased operation in 1939. The Europa Press is important in the history of 20th century Irish poetry because it published early work by Reavey, Brian Coffey, Denis Devlin and Samuel Beckett and in a wider context of literary and surrealist history because it published the first ever collection of English-language versions of work by Paul Éluard. This was published to coincide with the opening of the International Surrealist Exhibition in 1936 and featured a drawing by Pablo Picasso and a preface by Herbert Read, and the translators included Reavey, Beckett, Devlin, David Gascoyne, Man Ray and Ruthven Todd. Elena Irureta Azanza (born 30 July 1955) is a Spanish actress. She has performed in many Basque-language and Spanish-language television productions. Jaime Cantizano
Jaime Cantizano Camacho (born 22 July 1973 in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain) is a Spanish television and radio presenter. Career At 17 years old, Cantizano started his career in radio broadcasting as a speaker in his hometown's Los 40 Principales station where he also voiced commercials; from there he passed to the regional Cadena SER station and afterwards to Onda Cero. In parallel to his work in radio, he collaborated with newspaper ''El Correo de Andalucía''. In 2001, Cantizano debuted in television in local channel Localia Televisión, hosting a morning show together with Concha Galán. The Corporación de Radio y Televisión Española, S.A. (; ), known as Radiotelevisión Española or RTVE, is the state-owned public corporation that assumed in 2007 the indirect management of the Spanish public radio and television service known as Ente Público Radiotelevisión Española. It provides multi-station television ( TVE) and radio services ( RNE), as well as online and streaming services.
