Austria

Big Brother (Danish TV Series)
''Big Brother Danmark'' was the Danish version of the international reality television franchise '' Big Brother'' created by producer John de Mol. The series debuted on Danish television in January 2001 and was axed in June 2014, due to poor ratings. The show first aired two regular seasons on ''TvDanmark2'' (Now Kanal 4) in 2001. The series returned once again in 2003 on ''TvDanmark2'', first with a celebrity season called "''V.I.P''.", later that year ''TvDanmark2'' aired the first regular Big Brother season in nearly two years. In 2004 ''TvDanmark2'' aired one season before the show was paused indefinitely. The season was a celebrity season and was called "''Reality Allstars''". In 2007, it was announced that Modern Times Group, had bought the rights to Big Brother in Denmark. In the fall of 2007, TV3 Denmark aired the first season of Big Brother. Voice – Danmarks Største Stemme
''Voice – Danmarks største stemme'' is a Danish reality singing competition, based on the original Dutch television program ''The Voice of Holland''. It started on November 26, 2011, and is currently airing on TV2. One of the important premises of the show is the quality of the singing talent. Four coaches, themselves popular performing artists, train the talents in their group and occasionally perform with them. Talents are selected in blind auditions, where the coaches cannot see, but only hear the auditioner. The show was canceled after two seasons in order to make way for a kids' version, known as ''Voice Junior''. Format The series consists of three phases: a blind audition, a battle phase, and live performance shows. Four judges/coaches, all noteworthy recording artists, choose teams of contestants through a blind audition process. Conchita Wurst
Thomas Neuwirth (born 6 November 1988) is an Austrian singer and drag queen who is known for his stage persona Conchita Wurst (or simply Conchita). Neuwirth came to international attention after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 as with the song "Rise Like a Phoenix". Neuwirth has stated that he is not a trans woman. He is gay, and has also described himself as a drag queen. He uses she/her pronouns to describe his Conchita Wurst character, but he/him pronouns when referring to himself. Born in Gmunden, Neuwirth moved to Graz to do his matura, matura exam with a focus on fashion, before embarking on a singing career through the 2007 casting show ''Starmania (TV series), Starmania''. Rise Like A Phoenix
"Rise Like a Phoenix" is a pop song performed by Austrian singer Conchita Wurst, and the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Selected to represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark, its official release on 18 March 2014 was followed on 21 March by Conchita's first live TV performance of the song, on the ORF show ''Dancing Stars''. "Rise Like a Phoenix" was Austria's second winning entry in the competition, their first being in 1966. Background Composer Ali Zuckowski had originally composed the song for another project, however, every major record label in Austria had refused to produce "Rise Like a Phoenix". Following a request from the Austrian Eurovision team about possible song contributions, Zuckowski immediately thought of suggesting "Rise Like a Phoenix", reasoning, "I knew that with this song still something great was going to happen". X Factor (Denmark)
''X Factor'' is the Danish version of british Tv show ''The X Factor'', created by Simon Cowell. The show premiered on 4 January 2008. For the first eleven seasons, the show was broadcast on DR1 before moving to TV 2 from the twelfth season onwards. There have been fifteen winners to date, most notable are Martin Hoberg Hedegaard (2008), Thomas Ring Petersen (2010), Anthony Jasmin (2014), Place on Earth (2018) & Mads Moldt (2022). The original judging panel consisted of Thomas Blachman, Lina Rafn and Remee. The current panel consists of Blachman and Martin Jensen. Former judges include Soulshock, Pernille Rosendahl, Cutfather, Ida Corr, Anne Linnet, Mette Lindberg, Sanne Salomonsen and Oh Land. The original host was Lise Rønne. B&W Hallerne
B&W Hallerne (English: ''The B&W Halls'') is a former industrial complex located on the island of Refshaleøen, Copenhagen, Refshaleøen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Built in the early 1960s by Burmeister & Wain, the complex consists of two large halls which were used to build ships until 1996. Currently, the facilities are used for culture and entertainment activities. On 2 September 2013, Danish public broadcaster DR (broadcaster), DR announced that it had chosen B&W Hallerne as the host venue for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. The contest was held at the Section Hall 2, which was converted into a music venue with a capacity for 11,000 spectators. Big Brother was the sixth season of the Danish reality television series Big Brother and the third and final season to air on Kanal 5, produced by Endemol. The housemates entered on 30 December 2013, with the launch show airing on 1 January 2014 running for 119 days concluding on 27 April 2014 making it the longest series of ''Big Brother'' to air in Denmark to date.
