Deputy Prime Minister Of Malaysia
The deputy prime minister of Malaysia ( ms, Timbalan Perdana Menteri Malaysia; ms, تيمبلن ڤردان منتري مليسيا, label= Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset) is the second-highest political office in Malaysia. There have been 15 officeholders since the office was created in 1957. The first prime minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman, started the convention of appointing a deputy prime minister, but some cabinets have opted not to appoint a deputy prime minister. Appointment Malaysia has always had a deputy prime minister for most of the time since independence. A prime minister may choose not to appoint a deputy prime minister. Tunku Annuar ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah PSM DKH DMK SPMK SSDK PSB (30 June 1937 – 21 May 2014) was a member of the Kedah royal family and Chairman of the Regency Council of the Malaysian state of Kedah. He was the son of Sultan Badlishah and the half-brother of Sultan Abdul Halim. Biography Tunku Annuar was born on 30 June 1937, the first son of Tunku Badlishah by his second wife, Tengku Asma Sultan Sulaiman. His father, Tunku Badlishah, was the seventh son of Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim. His mother, Tengku Asma, was a daughter of Sultan Sulaiman Badrul Alam Shah of Terengganu. She was crowned Sultanah of Kedah in 1943. Tunku Badlishah was appointed Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Kedah in 1935 and became sultan in 1943. Sultan
Sultan (; ar, سلطان ', ) is a position with several historical meanings. Originally, it was an Arabic abstract noun meaning "strength", "authority", "rulership", derived from the verbal noun ', meaning "authority" or "power". Abdul Ghani bin Othman ( Jawi: عبدالغاني بن عثمان; born 14 November 1946) served as the 14th Menteri Besar of Johor in Malaysia from 1995 to 2013. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He had held the political party position of Ledang Division Chairman, Johor State Liaison Chairman and national Supreme Council member in UMNO before. The Sultan of Johor is a hereditary seat and the sovereign ruler of the Malaysian state of Johor. In the past, the sultan held absolute power over the state and was advised by a ''bendahara''.
