Norway, officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a Nordic country in Northern Europe, the mainland territory of which comprises the western and northernmost portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Peder Carl Lasson
Peder Carl Lasson (14 November 1798 – 5 June 1873) was a Norwegian jurist and politician. He served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Norway from 1855 to 1873. He was born in rural Bærum in Akershus, Norway. He was the son of Niels Quist Lasson (1762-1853) and Barbara Christiane Bremer (1773-1833). He went on the Christiania Cathedral School (now Oslo Cathedral School). He studied at the newly founded University of Christiania (now University of Oslo). He graduated with a degree in law during 1822. He received a license as a barrister and began a career in law, being appointed Supreme Court judge in 1828, Supreme Court assessor in 1837 and district stipendiary magistrate (''sorenskriver'') of Aker in 1848.He had many law-related publications to his name. Lars Bastian Ridder Stabell
Lars Bastian Ridder Stabell (27 April 1798–13 January 1860) was a politician in Denmark–Norway. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1798 to M.H. Stabell and his wife. He entered the military service in 1812 as a cadet. By 1814, he was a Second Lieutenant in a regiment based in Akershus and he participated in the Swedish–Norwegian War in that year. By 1817 he had left military service and became a student. He graduated with a cand.jur. degree in 1822. He worked as a civil servant in Rakkestad and in the Oslo area for a few years before being named to the post of County Governor of Nordlands amt in 1834. He held the governorship until 1847. During that time, in 1842, he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament representing Nordland county. He served only one term. Christian Peder Bianco Boeck
Christian Peder Bianco Boeck (September 5, 1798 – July 11, 1877) was a Norwegian doctor, zoologist, botanist and mountaineer. He is most associated with his catalog of approved drugs, ''Pharmacopoea Norvegica'' (1854) and with his studies of trilobites. Biography Boeck grew up at Kongsberg in Buskerud where his father worked for the Kongsberg Silver Mines. From 1817 he studied natural science and medicine at the Royal Frederick University (now University of Oslo). After his medical studies he traveled in Europe accompanied by Niels Henrik Abel and Baltazar Mathias Keilhau. In 1820, he made a botanically motivated expedition to Jotunheimen, with a launch point from the farm of Skrebergo in Øystre Slidre, where he had studied years before. This trip, which he undertook together with Keilhau, resulted in the first ascent of Kalvehøgdi (12 July 1820), Falketind (14 July 1820) and Nordre Skagastølstind (July 1820) and the exploration of some lakes.
