C.D. Construtores Do Uíge
Clube Desportivo Construtores do Uíge, formerly M.C.H. do Uíge is an Angolan sports club from the northern city of Uíge. The team currently plays in the Gira Angola. The club, one of the debutants in the first edition of the Girabola after independence, in 1979, is named after its then sponsor, Angola's Ministry of Construction and Housing (in Portuguese: ''Ministério da Construção e Habitação''). After being relegated in 1984, the club remained many years inactive due to financial shortages. In the late 2000s it was revived. Estádio 4 de Janeiro is a football stadium in Uíge, Angola. History Inaugurated on March 17, 1968, as Estádio José Ferreira de Lima, the stadium was then owned by Clube Recreativo do Uíge. Shortly after the independence, it was nationalized. The state-owned 12,000-seat stadium is the only one in Angola's northern province of Uíge that meets the international standards to host Girabola matches. Uíge
Uíge ( kg, Wizidi), formerly Carmona, is a provincial capital city in northwestern Angola, with a population of 322,531 (2014 census), and a municipality, with a population of 519,196 (2014 census), located in the province of the same name. It grew from a small market centre in 1945 to become a city in 1956. Name Uíge was renamed Vila Marechal Carmona in 1955 after the former Portuguese President Óscar Carmona, renamed simply Carmona after it became a city, but changed back to Uíge in 1975. Gira Angola
Segundona aka Torneio de Apuramento ''(Qualification Tournament)'' or Gira Angola is the 2nd division of Angolan football (soccer). It is organized by the Angolan Football Federation and gives access to Angola's top tier football division Girabola. Unlike most league systems worldwide, Angola does not have a regular second-tier league system. The teams that are relegated from the top-tier league in Angola, the Girabola, are relegated to the provincial championship from which they originate, the so-called provincial stages. The champion of each provincial championship automatically qualifies to the Segundona, the league or tournament that qualifies to the Girabola. 2014 Gira Angola
The 2014 Segundona was the 20th season of the second-tier football league in Angola. The season runs from 27 July to November, 2014. Académica do Lobito the current league champions, were promoted to the 2015 Girabola. The league comprises 3 series of 6, 5 and 6 teams with the winner of each series being promoted to the 2015 Girabola. Girabola, or ''Campeonato Nacional de Futebol em Séniores Masculinos'', is the top division of Angolan football. It is organized by the Angolan Football Federation. The league winner and runner-up qualify for the CAF Champions League. Girabola ZAP In January 2016, Angolan subscription TV satellite and cable provider ZAP, the Angolan Football Federation and the Girabola clubs, signed a three-year deal in which ZAP will have broadcast rights over all Girabola matches. As part of the deal, the Angolan state-owned TV station TPA will be allowed to broadcast one game per week on its free-view platform.
