Bungad is an administrative division in eastern Metro Manila, Philippines, the Philippines. It is one of the 142 Barangays of Quezon City, barangays of Quezon City and is bounded by Barangays Veterans Village in the north, San Antonio, Quezon City, San Antonio in the West, Paltok in the south and Philam, Quezon City, Philam in the east. It is part of the city district of Project 7, which includes Barangay Veterans Village. History Establishment The land sits at the frontier of San Francisco del Monte, which gives its name from the Filipino language, Filipino word ''bungad'', meaning "front". It was established as a barrio under City Ordinance No. 4762 (series of 1961) on May 29, 1961. Veterans Village, (PSGC137404130 more commonly known as Project 7 and Muñoz, is a barangay located in Quezon City with an approximate land area of bounded by Barangay San Antonio in the Southwest, Roosevelt Avenue in the West, Barangay Bungad in the Southeast and EDSA in the North. Philam, also known as Philam Homes, Philamlife Homes or Phil-Am, is an administrative division in eastern Metro Manila, the Philippines. West Avenue, Quezon City
West Avenue is a major road located in Quezon City within the Diliman area of northeastern Metro Manila, Philippines. It runs north–south through the western edge of the barangay of West Triangle. The street is located in Quezon City's commercial-residential area, known for its restaurants, car shops, schools, and villages. It is also home to the old Delta theater located on the avenue's junction with Quezon Avenue. The avenue is a component of National Route 171 (N171) of the Philippine highway network. Sangguniang Kabataan
Sangguniang Kabataan (abbreviated as SK; ) is a council meant to represent the youth in each barangay in the Philippines. It was put "on hold", but not quite abolished, prior to the 2013 barangay elections. In January 2016, the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act was signed into law which made some significant changes to the SK and initially scheduled new elections for October 2016. In March 2017, the elections were postponed anew to May 2018. The SK Chairman leads the Sangguniang Kabataan. A Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) composed of representatives of different local youth groups supports the SK and its programs. The Sangguniang Kabataan is the successor of the Kabataang Barangay (KB; ) which was abolished by the Local Government Code of 1991.
