Buddy Freitag
Edgar "Buddy" Freitag (1932 – May 30, 2012) was an American Broadway theatre producer, especially from 2007 to 2012. Freitag produced numerous Broadway musicals and shows in partnership with his wife, producer Barbara Freitag. His most recent credits included the 2011 Broadway revival of ''Porgy and Bess'', '' Nice Work If You Can Get It'' in 2012, ''End of the Rainbow'' in 2012, and Memphis in 2009. Freitag earned a bachelor's degree from Baruch College in 1953. He served in the United States Army for two years following his graduation from Baruch. Freitag then launched a long career in advertising and mortgage banking. He worked in New York advertising for seventeen years, becoming the vice president of the Grey Advertising. Mortgage
A mortgage loan or simply mortgage (), in civil law jurisdicions known also as a hypothec loan, is a loan used either by purchasers of real property to raise funds to buy real estate, or by existing property owners to raise funds for any purpose while putting a lien on the property being mortgaged. The loan is " secured" on the borrower's property through a process known as mortgage origination. ''Passing Strange'' is a comedy-drama rock musical about a young African American's artistic journey of self-discovery, with strong elements of philosophical existentialism, metafiction (especially self-referential humor, self-referential humor), and the Künstlerroman, artistic journey. The musical's lyrics and book are by Stew (musician), Stew with music and orchestrations by Heidi Rodewald and Stew. It was created in collaboration with director Annie Dorsen. ''Catch Me If You Can'' is a musical drama with a libretto by Terrence McNally and a theatrical score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. It follows the story of a con artist named Frank Abagnale. A majority of the plot is borrowed from the 2002 film of the same name, which in turn was based on the 1980 autobiography of the same name by Abagnale and Stan Redding. ''Blithe Spirit'' is a comic play by Noël Coward, described by the author as "an improbable farce in three acts". ''The Homecoming'' is a two-act play written in 1964 by Harold Pinter and first published in 1965. Its premières in London (1965) and New York (1967) were both directed by Sir Peter Hall.
