Bruno Arcari (boxer)
Bruno Arcari (born 1 January 1942) is a retired Italian light welterweight boxer who fought from 1964 to 1978. Biography He came to the 1964 Olympics as a national champion and a bronze medalist of the 1963 European Championships, but was injured in the opening bout and had to withdraw. After that he turned professional, and again lost his first match by injury. He had only one loss further in his career, also by injury, and won 70 bouts, 38 of them by knockout. Arcari held the European title in 1968, and on 31 January 1970 captured the WBC world title after defeating Pedro Adigue. He relinquished it 1973 to move up to the welterweight class, but did not fight for a major title until his retirement in 1978. He later managed top professional fighters in Italy. Joe Brown (May 18, 1926 – December 4, 1997) was an American professional boxer who won the world lightweight title in 1956, making 11 successful defenses against 10 contenders before losing his crown to Carlos Ortiz in 1962. Brown was a classic boxer and a knockout puncher. Known as the ' Creole Clouter' and Joe 'Old Bones' Brown, he was managed by Lou Viscusi and named '' The Ring'''s 'Fighter of the Year' for 1961. Des Rea
Desmond Rea (8 January 1944 – 21 July 2016) was a Northern Irish boxer who was the first holder of the British junior welterweight title and went on to fight for the European title before moving up to welterweight at which he won the Irish title. He was the first man in his weight group to be awarded the Lonsdale Belt. Everaldo Costa Azevedo (born July 24, 1944) is a Brazilian former professional boxer who competed from 1963 to 1982. Azevedo was ranked as the best Junior Welterweight in the world by the WBA in 1974 and No. 2 in the world by the WBC in 1972. Azevedo would fight for the World Title twice in his career. His first world title challenge came in 1972 when he lost a 15-round decision to the champion Bruno Arcari. Jørgen Hansen (boxer)
Jørgen Hansen (27 March 1943 – 15 March 2018) was a Danish welterweight boxer. Hansen competed for Denmark at the 1968 Summer Olympics in the welterweight division but lost his first match. Hansen turned professional shortly after the games and was active as a professional until 1982. Hansen fought for the WBC world light welterweight title in 1973, but was stopped by Italian Bruno Arcari. Hansen won the European welterweight title in 1977 against Italian Marco Scano but lost the title by disqualification in his first defense. In 1978 he was awarded a chance to regain the title against Frenchman Alain Marion whom Hansen stopped in the 6th round of the title bout. Hansen later lost the title by disqualification.
