Brendan Bugler
Brendan Bugler (born 1985) is an Irish hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Clare senior team. Bugler made his first appearance for the team during the 2007 National League and became a regular player over the last few seasons of his playing career. During that time he has won one All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, one National League (Division 1B) medal, one Waterford Crystal Cup medal and two All-Star award. At club level Bugler plays with Whitegate. He served as a Wexford senior hurling team selector under the management of Davy Fitzgerald from October 2019, replacing Stephen Molumphy. Playing career Club Bugler plays with his home club in Whitegate. In 2013 he captained them to an Intermediate county title. He also plays football with Cratloe. Inter-universities During his tenure as a student at the University of Limerick, Bugler enjoyed some success with the university senior team. The Down County Board ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae An Dún) or Down GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Down, Northern Ireland. GAA GPA All Stars Awards
The Gaelic Athletic Association-Gaelic Players' Association All Stars Awards (often known simply as the All Stars) are awarded annually to the best player in each of the 15 playing positions in Gaelic football and hurling. Additionally, one player in each code is selected as Player of the Year. The awards were instituted in 1971. Since 2011 they have been presented jointly by the Gaelic Athletic Association and the representative body for inter-county players, the Gaelic Players Association. The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year except one since 1887. The final, currently held on the third Sunday in August, is the culmination of a series of games played during July and August, with the winning team receiving the Liam MacCarthy Cup. For the majority of its existence, the All-Ireland Championship has been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship. Clare Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Clare Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Clare GAA, Clare County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association for the second tier hurling teams in the county of County Clare, Clare in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Cusack Park (Ennis), Cusack Park. The championship includes a group stage which is followed by a knock-out phase for the top teams. There is also promotion involving the Clare Senior Hurling Championship and relegation involving the Clare Junior Hurling Championship. In 2012 it was decided that from 2014 onwards the Clare Senior Hurling Championship would become a single sixteen team championship. Birr GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Birr in County Offaly, Ireland. The club is almost exclusively concerned with the game hurling and is one of the most successful hurling clubs in the country.
