Bremen–Bremerhaven Railway
The Bremen–Bremerhaven railway line is a railway line connecting the German cities Bremen and Bremerhaven. It is an entirely two-track and electrified mainline railway that is operated Deutsche Bahn. It is designed for speeds of up to 160 km/h. In section from Bremen Hauptbahnhof to Bremerhaven Hauptbahnhof is 62.0 km long, but its extension via Bremerhaven-Lehe to the Bremerhaven-Speckenbüttel marshalling yard and on to ' is also often included. The most important intermediate station is Osterholz-Scharmbeck, where Regional-Express trains also stop. The line was fully opened on 23 January 1862 jointly by the Royal Hanoverian State Railways and Bremen. Today it mostly sees freight traffic and local passenger trains. The last long-distance trains were InterRegio trains on the line Cuxhaven-Luxembourg that were discontinued in 2001. Current operations The line has no long distance services. Bremerhaven-Wulsdorf is a railway station on the Bremen–Bremerhaven line in the district of the city of Bremerhaven, Germany. History The station was opened in 1862 as part of the Bremen-Geestemünde railway line. Operational usage The station is only served by RegionalBahn trains. Trains operated by Bremen S-Bahn to Bremen Hbf and Twistringen call at the station. Loxstedt Railway Station
Loxstedt is the name of a railway station on the Bremerhaven-Bremen line in northwestern Germany. The station is situated in the town of Loxstedt, in the Cuxhaven district of Lower Saxony. The station was opened in 1847 as part of the Bremen to Wulsdorf railway line. On 10 March 1862, the station building was inaugurated, featuring two flats for the stationmaster and signalmen as well as a freight shed and several outbuildings. In the early 20th century, the station saw some long-distance trains to destinations as far away as Berlin and Hanover. In 1966, the railway line was electrified, freight service was stopped in 1975 and the old station building as well as the signal box ''Lsf'' stood empty until they were torn down shortly before Christmas 1978. Lune is a river in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is some long and a right tributary of the Lower Weser. The Lune is a small lowland river, which is joined initially by the ''Volkmarster Lune'' on the boundary between the borough of Bremervörde and the district of Cuxhaven.
