Brain Powered
is a Japanese anime television series created by Sunrise (company), Sunrise. The series is set on a future, decimated Earth after the discovery of a mysterious, alien spacecraft dubbed "Orphan". A group of researchers scour the planet for Orphan's disc plates using mecha called "Antibodies" in order to revive the craft, an event that would result in the utter destruction of all lifeforms on Earth. The protagonists List of Brain Powerd characters#Yu Isami, Yu Isami and List of Brain Powerd characters#Hime Utsumiya, Hime Utsumiya must utilize a special Antibody called "Brain Powerd" to counter the Orphan plans and save humanity. Yoshiyuki Tomino
is a Japanese mecha anime creator, animator, director, screenwriter, songwriter and novelist best known for creating the ''Gundam'' anime franchise. He was born in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, and studied at Nihon University's College of Art. Career & Legacy Tomino began his career in 1963 with Osamu Tezuka's company, Mushi Productions, scripting the storyboards and screenplay of the first Japanese anime television series, '' Tetsuwan Atomu'' (also known as ''Astro Boy''). Mamoru Nagano
is a Japanese manga artist, animator, and mecha and character designer. Born in Maizuru, Kyoto Prefecture, he is noted for his work with anime studio Sunrise. He is married to voice actress Maria Kawamura. Career Mamoru Nagano made his professional debut in 1984 working with Yoshiyuki Tomino on the TV series ''Heavy Metal L-Gaim''. ''Fool for the City'', his first manga, came out in 1985 but it was 1986 that brought ''The Five Star Stories'', which is still in production today. Nagano founded Toys Press, Inc. to publish much of his work. His work in ''Heavy Metal L-Gaim'' introducing mecha with armor plates that appeared to fit loosely over an internal skeleton. These detailed and somewhat plausible designs sparked a fresh wave of designs in mecha anime. ''Protoculture Addicts'' was a Canadian-based anime and manga themed magazine published by Protoculture Inc., an Anime News Network company. The term "Protoculture Addicts" was also used by the Zentradi (an alien race that appeared in the ''Macross'' series) to refer to all the races that have been in contact with Protoculture.
