Brad Lynch (footballer)
Brad Lynch (born 11 July 1997) was a professional Australian rules football, Australian rules footballer who played for the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Lynch plays as a Half-back line, half-back, and has been compared to former Bulldogs captain Robert Murphy (footballer), Robert Murphy by defence coach Steven King because of his "kicking skills and lightning speed". Originally from Mandurah, Lynch originally played for Swan Districts Football Club, Swan Districts in the West Australian Football League. He was drafted by the Bulldogs with pick 11 in the 2015 AFL draft#2016 rookie draft, 2016 rookie draft, their first selection. In 2016, Lynch played 22 games for the Bulldogs' Victorian Football League side Footscray, including their 2016 VFL season#Grand Final, premiership. Swan Districts
The Swan Districts Football Club, nicknamed the Swans, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The club is based at Bassendean Oval, in Bassendean, an eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The club was formed in 1932, and joined the then-Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) in 1934, acting as a successor to the Midland Junction Football Club, which had disbanded during World War I, in the Perth Hills region. In human anatomy, a hamstring () is any one of the three posterior thigh muscles in between the hip and the knee (from medial to lateral: semimembranosus, semitendinosus and biceps femoris). 2020 AFL Season
The 2020 AFL season was the 124th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs. Played during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the season commenced on 19 March and was suspended four days later; it resumed on 11 June and ran until 24 October. A shortened season was played, comprising a 17-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs; all matches were shortened to 80% of their usual length. Virus outbreaks and interstate travel restrictions precluded games in many states for much of the season, with all clubs spending parts of the season temporarily relocated to quarantine hubs, particularly in South East Queensland where almost half of all matches were played – including the Grand Final, the first time it had been played outside Victoria. Sam Power
Sam Power (born 2 July 1983) is an Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL). Power started his career at the Western Bulldogs. The Bulldogs selected him in the 2001 AFL Draft, with their first round selection, number 10 overall. Power made his debut in 2002, playing six games, and amassed 84 games in total over five years with the Bulldogs. After being unable to hold a consistent senior spot in the 2007 season, Power requested a trade. North Melbourne expressed interest and traded their draft pick number 48 in the 2007 AFL Draft in return for Power. At North Melbourne, Power was a regular senior player being used in the hard running, run-with player role. 2009 saw an up and down season for both Power, and the football club, with his place in the side coming under question due to a push towards youth, with an eye to the future. The 2016 Victorian Football League season is the 135th season of the Victorian Football Association/Victorian Football League Australian rules football competition. There were 15 teams competing in the league.
