''Hollyoaks'' is a British television soap opera that was first broadcast on 23 October 1995. The following is a list of characters that first appear in the show in 2021, by order of first appearance. ''Hollyoaks'' is a British soap opera which began airing on Channel 4 on 23 October 1995. It was created by Phil Redmond, who had previously conceived the soap opera ''Brookside (TV series), Brookside''. Since 2005, episodes have been aired on sister channel E4 (TV channel), E4 a day prior to their broadcast on Channel 4. At its inception, the soap was targeted towards an adolescent and young adult audience but has since broadened its appeal to all age groups. Emily Burnett
Emily Burnett (born 8 August 1997) is a Welsh actress. From 2017 to 2019, she portrayed the role of Charlie Morris in the CBBC series ''The Dumping Ground'', a role for which she won the 2019 British Academy Children's Award for Performer.
