Božo Grkinić
Božo Grkinić ( sr-cyr, Божо Гркинић; November 17, 1913 – February 3, 1996) was Yugoslav water polo and basketball player and coach. He was a member of the Yugoslavia men's national water polo team, Yugoslavia national water polo team and Yugoslavia national basketball team. Nebojša Popović
Nebojša Popović ( sr-cyr, Небојша Поповић; 8 February 1923 – 20 October 2001) was a Serbian basketball player, coach and administrator. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. He is the basketball legend of Red Star Belgrade. In 2007, he was enshrined as a contributor in the FIBA Hall of Fame. Early life Popović lived with his family in Rijeka, where he played water polo as a goalkeeper. He learned about basketball from the Yugoslav water polo and a basketball pioneer Božo Grkinić. The 1947 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 1947, was the fifth FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship, held by FIBA. 1945 Yugoslav First Basketball League
The 1945 Yugoslav First Basketball League season was the inaugural season of the Yugoslav First Basketball League, the top-tier level basketball competition in Yugoslavia. The league launched with 5 teams playing a single-elimination tournament held in Subotica, PR Serbia. Teams participating in the season were selections of three Yugoslav constituent republics (PR Croatia, PR Macedonia, and PR Serbia), one autonomous province ( AP Vojvodina), as well as the Yugoslav People's Army selection.
