Robert West (chemist)
Robert Culbertson West Jr. (March 18, 1928 – October 12, 2022) was an American chemist. West was an E. G. Rochow Professor of Chemistry Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin–Madison; Director of the Organosilicon Research Center, University of Wisconsin–Madison 1999–20??; President, Silatronix, Inc. (2007–20??); Distinguished Professor, Yonsei University, 2007–2011. He died in Madison, Wisconsin on October 12, 2022, at the age of 94. Education West received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Cornell University in 1950, proceeding on to Harvard University where he received his Master of Arts in 1952 and Ph.D. in 1954. At Cornell, he was a member of the Quill and Dagger society. Notable work West was a chemist best known for his groundbreaking research in silicon chemistry as well as for his work with oxocarbons and organolithium compounds. Robert West (painter)
Robert West (died November 1770) was an Irish artist, draughtsman and teacher. Life and family He was born in Waterford, where his father was an alderman. Very little is known of his early life. He studied drawing and painting at the French Academy under François Boucher and Jean-Baptiste van Loo around 1735, and it is claimed he was awarded the first medal of the French Academy. Upton house, Northampton holds an oil painting from this period signed by West entitled ''Thomas Smith and his family''. West had 2 sons with his wife Mary. West died in November 1770 at Lurgan Street, Dublin. Career Upon his return to Ireland, West founded a drawing school in George's Lane, Dublin in the late 1730s. Under the influence of Samuel Maddne, the school was commissioned by the Dublin Society to teach pupils from around 1744. Robert Malcolm Brian West (born 11 October 1955) is a British National Party (BNP) activist and founder of the Christian Council of Britain. Theological training and claimed ordination West is not an active minister of any mainstream Christian organisation, and his credentials remain ambiguous. Despite this, West has been described as the BNP's religious affairs spokesman. Robbie West (born 7 March 1969) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles and Footscray in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Ovens & Murray Football Netball League club Wodonga, West was drafted by West Coast at the 1990 AFL Draft and made his AFL debut in the 1991 AFL season. West was unable to break into West Coast's strong side, managed just three games in each of his first two seasons, instead playing most of his football with Western Australian Football League (WAFL) club West Perth, winning the Sandover Medal for best and fairest player in the WAFL as well as West Perth's Fairest and Best award. Mark Kaylor
Mark Kaylor (born 11 May 1961) is a former professional British boxer. Kaylor was born in Canning Town but from the age of nine was brought up in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex. Kaylor won the British schoolboy title the first year he was eligible to take part and at the age of 16, moved back to Canning Town to live with his grandmother so that he could join a bigger boxing club at West Ham. In 1979, at the age of 17, Kaylor won the National Association of Boys Clubs Championships and the London senior title. In 1980, Kaylor won the British Amateur Boxing Association Championships and went to the European Junior championships in Rimini, Italy. Begun with a vague storyline that failed to survive beyond the two title tracks, the album was recorded in London, England at George Martin's AIR Studios with one outtake from ''New York City (You're A Woman)''.
